About me

I was born in Budapest, Hungary (1965). Upon graduating from Semmelweis University, I worked as a physician in training at the 2nd Department of Paediatrics (Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary), the leading academic centre for pediatric haematology and oncology. I spent 4 years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California at San Francisco (Metabolic Research Unit, UCSF, San Francisco, CA, USA, 1991-1995).

I am an associate professor of medicine at Semmelweis University. Currently, I am Deputy Head of the 2nd Department of Paediatrics at Semmelweis University, Head of the Hungarian Paediatric Cancer Registry and Secretary of the Hungarian Pediatric Oncology Network.

Apart from clinical research in the field of paediatric oncology, my main scientific interest is targeted therapy in paediatric oncology.
