About me

I am a Paediatrician and an Associate Professor specialising in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. I have over 15 years of experience in gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and liver disease and nutrition. I completed a fellowship at the Department of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Since 2004, I have been working in the Team for Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition and take care of inpatient and outpatient children with gastrointestinal diseases (inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease or intestinal failure requiring long-term parenteral nutrition), patients with congenital, acute or chronic liver disease and after liver transplantation.
I have performed >500 upper endoscopies, 25 upper endoscopies including banding of varices, 25 upper endoscopies including PEG, 440 lower endoscopies, 7 colonoscopies including polypectomies, and 27 liver biopsies.
I am an active researcher in the area, I speak at international conferences and am a reviewer for several medical journals.
